Ten Things I Need To Do At Disney World
This is the first year that my family, my parents and I, are going on vacation for the holidays. It is really weird to not be spending it with my brothers at home. We are visiting my Dad's family, who don't live close to us. But let's be real, I was bribed with Disney World and Universal. When someone mentions a vacation to Florida, my only thought is Mickey Mouse and Wizarding World. That's all they have there right? Haha, just joking.
This will be my third time to Disney World, but the past two times were in the summer. I know that it will be extremely crowded. I just want to see as much of the holiday things as possible.
1. Osborne Lights
This is the last year that Hollywood Studios will be doing their huge holiday light display, which makes me really excited to see it.
2. Take some selfies with Christmas trees
I'm a selfie queen, especially ugly selfies. I have zero shame. I am ready to take a picture with every tree I find, even a palm tree will do.
3. Fun hot chocolates from different places in Epcot
Is this a thing? I don't actually know. I just want hot chocolate of different varieties. If nothing else, there is Starbucks?
4. Seven Dwarves Mine Train
This isn't holiday themed, but it was one of the rides I was so sad that I missed out on. It will probably be a hella long line. Wishful thinking?
5. Visit the new Disney Springs
Disney Springs is the new name for the remodeled Downtown Disney, which is the free area that features restaurants, shopping, and different nightlife inside the Disney property. The last time I was in Disney we got lost because they were doing construction and had the most confusing walls up. I'm excited to actually go to the stores I wanted to without getting lost this time.
6. Hotel Hop
This is something my Dad and I are dying to do. Disney is really expensive for park tickets and food. I've stayed at Pop Century, one of the affordable hotels, and Shades of Green, the military resort, which were both great. But I really want to see the fancy hotels and how they get done up. Plus, this is free.
7. Visit Shades of Green - Mangino's Restaurant
Again Shades of Green is the military resort on the Disney Property. We had dinner there once and then we just kept going back. With a New York Italian-American Mother, I obviously have high standards for Italian food and this place was epic. It had become a family joke that we have to go back.
8. See the holiday parades
Disney knows how to do a parade and I'm ready to see their holiday parades.
9. Watch Fireworks
Fireworks are a summer thing or at least I only ever see them in the summer. I am just excited to see fireworks in December.
10. Finding Nemo the Musical
I love the Lion King and the Beauty and the Beast musicals at Disney. I just need to see this one!
My Ten Things I Need To Do At Universal will be up soon as well!
Have you been to Disney World before? What is your favorite thing to do there?
