Welcome to the 2015 Summer Blogger Promo Tour hosted by the amazing Amber and Jessica of The Book Bratz. This is my second year participating and I can't be more excited to be participating.
Through the Summer Blogger Promo Tour, I got to meet the wonderful Pamela of A Writer's Tale. She is super sweet and has a very similar taste in books as me. I hope you go check out her blog because it is really great! Pamela is both a reader and a writer, something I can relate to. I asked her to do the Writer's Life Tag for my guest post. I hope you like her answer's as much as I do.
WRITER'S LIFE TAG!
This tag was originally created by the author Kelsey Macke
1. Write Fuel: What do you eat/drink while writing?
If I'm lucky, I'll be able to have an iced tea, with a croissant :)
2. Write Sounds: What do you listen to while writing?
This one's tricky. It depends I guess. Sometimes, I'll be content with just the sound of people's muffled talking around me. Others, it can be one song over and over because it helps with a particular scene. *cough*Hey Mama*cough* And, for the record, the song doesn't have to be related to the scene's tone in any way!
3. Write Vice: What's your most debilitating distraction?
My blog. No, seriously. I always have this compulsion to checking my blog, and then I'll think: Hey, I need to write a review for 'x' book. And that's how it starts.
4. Write Horror: What's the worst thing that's ever happened to you while writing?
Well, not while, but some years ago, I wrote a Twilight fanfic. Yeah, quite Mary-sueish but well, with some work, I do think it'd have been amazing. Something happened to my work -which is public in a website- and now some chunks of it are missing. I didn't save it anywhere else. I guess I could write again, do it better. But I don't have the time. It makes me pretty sad.
5. Write Joy: What's the best thing that's ever happened while writing or how do you celebrate small victories?
Well, the best thing was finishing my first ever draft. It never made it to a complete, finished book. But the feeling of finishing that thing, of wrapping everything up, AT LAST, it was awesome.
6. Write Crew: Who do you communicate with or not communicate with while writing?
Does squealing at people count as communicating? Because I do that a lot if there's someone around while I'm writing, especially when working on scenes that have been in my head for a while.
7. Write Secret: What's your writing secret to success or hidden flaw?
I've realized that it really helps to not to edit at all while drafting. It also helps to skip scenes, and write kissing scenes. Or just random scenes. I can later create something around that :)
8. Write-spiration: What always makes you productive?
Writing after watching a movie. Movies give me motivation to write because I really want to one day see my story on the big screen. Idealistic, I know, but gotta dream big ;D
9. Write Peeve: What's one thing writers do (or you do) that's annoying?
PROCRASTINATION. Because, go to hell, procrastination.
10. Write Words- Share one sentence from a project. Past or present
"Because there are different kinds of nothing, and this was the kind you held on to for dear life or else you went insane."
That one is really sad, and I think it shows perfectly how hopeless my MC was feeling in that moment. It's not my main project, but this one phrase I remembered I really liked.
Have you done the Writer's Life Tag? If not you totally should! I am planning on doing it myself. I hope you go and check out Pamela's blog and some of the other posts apart of the Summer Blogger Promo Tour!
