Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins
I am probably the last person to read this book I know but I loved it. I actually didn't know what it was about just that when I see a book on a ton of blogs I take notice. There had to be something about worth checking out. Plus I loved the cover so pretty yet very mysterious.
Amazon Description-Embrace the Forbidden
What if there were teens whose lives literally depended on being bad influences?
This is the reality for sons and daughters of fallen angels.
Tenderhearted Southern girl Anna Whitt was born with the sixth sense to see and feel emotions of other people. She's aware of a struggle within herself, an inexplicable pull toward danger, but it isn't until she turns sixteen and meets the alluring Kaidan Rowe that she discovers her terrifying heritage and her willpower is put to the test. He's the boy your daddy warned you about. If only someone had warned Anna.
Forced to face her destiny, will Anna embrace her halo or her horns?
The Book Trailer-
My Thoughts and Opinions-
I thought this book had such a unique and interesting plot! It was so creative. Now I tend to group books by certain elements they have so say Vampires, Werewolves, Aliens, Fallen Angels etc. So Sweet Evil falls in the Fallen Angel area but it was such a different take. Usually it is a girl falls in love with a fallen angel yada yada. But this was so much more. The Fallen Angels are considered Demons and work for Lucifer to corrupt humans. Their nephilim children do their bidding. Each demon has a certain sin or wrong doing that they use and it gets carried to their children. I probably am not explaining this in the best way but I just felt that it was so creative and different.
Anna is different as main characters tend to be. She is not only the daughter of the Demon of substance abuse but her mother was also an angel. So she has very conflicting emotions. I have heard a lot of people say that she was an unrealistic character and hard to relate to but I differ because she is innocent and doesn't give in to doing drugs. I have to say that I loved her father he was awesome perfect mix of good and bad.
And finally let's talk about Kaidan. I think that they are great together. She pushes him to be a better person. But for their safety they probably shouldn't be together. I hope in future books we will be able to see more of a romantic relationship built up between them. For now all we can do is wait for more!
I totally recommend this book go check it out! Here on Amazon!
