Die For Me By Amy Plum - Review
I had heard all the hype about Until I Die the sequel and I was so glad to win the first book. I have to say the hype was well worth it. I love this book. It was a different take of the forbidden romance story since the mythology was so original. I also loved that it was set in Paris. Go to the end of the page for a giveaway of an ebook of Die For Me!
So if you are like me and only heard of the sequel and want to read the first
Here is the Amazon Summary-
My life had always been blissfully, wonderfully normal. But it only took one moment to change everything.
Suddenly, my sister, Georgia, and I were orphans. We put our lives into storage and moved to Paris to live with my grandparents. And I knew my shattered heart, my shattered life, would never feel normal again. Then I met Vincent.
Mysterious, sexy, and unnervingly charming, Vincent Delacroix appeared out of nowhere and swept me off my feet. Just like that, I was in danger of losing my heart all over again. But I was ready to let it happen.
Of course, nothing is ever that easy. Because Vincent is no normal human. He has a terrifying destiny, one that puts his life at risk every day. He also has enemies . . . immortal, murderous enemies who are determined to destroy him and all of his kind.
While I'm fighting to piece together the remnants of my life, can I risk putting my heart—as well as my life and my family's—in jeopardy for a chance at love?
I personally thought this was gonna be a normal mysterious guy is a vampire saves the girl yada yada read it all before predictable book but it was anything but it wasn't. It was so sad that it started with Kate's parents dying but that is what brought her to her grandparents in Paris.
Again, I really enjoyed the mythology of revenants. I think it was fresh and creative. I would love to know and read more about it. It was a breathe of fresh air from the normal vampire, werewolf, and fairy.
I didn't always like her sister Georgia which is my opinion just because I'm not a fan of people like her but I understand that was apart of her way to cope.
I loved Jules, I read this book awhile ago I'm pretty sure that is his name haha, he really lightened up the mood of the book with his never ending flirting. Maybe there will be a little relationship with him and Kate, I would enjoy it.
Speaking of relationships I liked Kate and Vincent's but I feel like there has to be more drama there. There was just something a bit off about it. Perhaps the sequel Until I Die will have a plot with that.
Also I feel like it needed just a little bit more in the plot line department. There was their relationship with him being a Revenant.
***I will definitely be reading the sequel!!***
